Cultural Enigmas
The written and oral history of many cultures across the globe repeatedly provide what the hypothesis views as true eye-witness reports of the destruction and chaos spread just prior to and during the Perigee: Zero cometary impacts. The documentation and interpretation of these reports constitutes a massive repository of information. We will make no attempt here to replicate or even try to reference more than a minute portion of that body of work. Nevertheless, we call on these reports to provide corroborative data for the assembly of the Perigee: Zero timeline.
For example, the Greeks relate the story of "The Five Ages of Man", as do several other cultures. Notably from India, only four ages are described. The hypothesis suggest that these ages were bracketed by Taurid stream PZ impact sequences. by attempting to date the transition times, we provide information for the timeline.
Another important aspect of these eyewitness reports pertains to the member count in each sequence. For example, the wolf, dog and snake of Ragnarok, the Islandic tale, are echoed in the Three Arrows of American Legend and the Three Monsters of Shelod. The enigma of the three terrifying bulls painted upon the cave walls in Çatalhöyük, Turkey, also graphically describe what may have been three coincident comets bearing down upon the earth. They may well have taken tens or hundreds of years to fully de-orbit, providing much time for the general population to become familiar with them. The accurate dating of each multiple set can be correlated to evidence of craters with common timings but offset alignments, suggestive of multiple bodies; here the Çatalhöyük, site is fairly well dated as having inhabitation cease about 7,000 BC.
Other artwork which may have direct bearing as documentation of the Taurid Complex include Egyptian wall paintings and the work known as the Voynich Manuscript Cipher.
